• you can register to vote if you have no fixed address (e.g. you live on a boat, you’re residing in a mental hospital, you’re homeless etc.)
• if you’re a british citizen living abroad, you can register for a postal or proxy vote (up to 15 years after moving)
• postal and proxy votes require printing and filling in a paper form. these forms have to be filled in and sent to your specific electoral registration office (ideally two weeks before the GE, to be safe). you can find the address details on http://yourvotematters.co.uk/
• polling stations are open from 7am to 10pm
• you don’t have to bring your poll card or ID to the poll station (edit: those of you in northern ireland do require ID and poll cards)

on a personal note: please, please, please do not vote for the conservatives. unless, of course, you’re into welfare cuts, NHS privatisation, rising poverty levels, austerity, tax relief for the wealthy, cuts to essential public services, high tuition fees, unaffordable housing, and a brexit ‘deal’ that will affect our nation’s economy and your personal income terribly.
